Shusaku Minato initiates fundamental research on Yamane (Japanese dourmouse) in Wakayama Prefecture.
1988〜*
The Japanese Dormouse Conservation Research Group starts research in the foothills of the Yatsugatake Mountains.

1997*
February *: Shimizu Construction builds a squirrel bridge called “Eco-Road” in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
1998*
As proposed by the Japanese Dormouse Conservation Research Group, a “Yamane Bridge” is installed on a prefectural road in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
2003
November: Members meet at the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) Nature Conservation Council NGO Exchange Meeting.
2004
anuary: Discussions take place at the KNC News Corporate-NGO Meeting.
January: The first Animal Pathway Research Meeting is held.
Subsequent research meetings are irregularly held in Tokyo and Kiyosato.
2005
October: An experimental animal pathway is installed on the premises of the Keep Association in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
2006
May: The utilization of Japanese squirrels is confirmed through monitoring cameras.
September: The utilization of Yamane is confirmed.
2007
July: Animal-pathway No. 1 is constructed on a public road in Hokuto City.
August: The utilization of dwarf mice is confirmed through monitoring cameras.
Subsequently, over 800 usages per year, including Yamane, are confirmed.
2008
May: The Animal-pathway Research Group receives the Environmental Award from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers.
2009
January: NTT East participates in the NTT East Research Meeting.Collaborative work is carried out to improve Pathway No. 1.
June: The utilization of Japanese squirrels and martens is confirmed on Pathway No. 1.
2010年
March: Animal-pathway No. 2 is constructed in Hokuto City.
2013
November: Received the Excellent Award at the 2013 Nikkei Earth Environmental Technology Awards organized by the Nikkei newspaper company.
