Ministry of the Environment's "Good Life Award"

The “Good Life Award” is a project that introduces and recognizes activities related to “living well with the environment and society” and supports information exchange and sharing to activate such activities.

In its second edition held in 2015, there were 135 applications from all over Japan. Through the selection process by the executive committee and public voting, one Grand Prize, three Excellence Awards, and six Special Awards were selected for outstanding activities and initiatives.

The Animal-pathways Research Group received the Excellence Award from the Ministry of the Environment. They were recognized for their tangible efforts for small animals living quietly in the forest and the collaboration of various organizations in their continuous activities.
